About XDM

Xtreme Deathmatch (XDM) is a server side mod for Half-Life 1 that lets server admins have more control over the game. Get away from the monotony of regular Half-Life Deathmatch (HLDM) and jump into the fast paced excitement of XDM. Is running on the ground and jumping around getting tiresome? Fly though the air with a grappling hook and go places you've never imagined reaching before. Enhance your game play with power up runes such as health regeneration, attack, defense, and movement.. Since XDM is a server side mod, players can join the server without having to download any files outside of Steam. XDM allows server administrators to customize settings like weapon damage and ammo, player health and armor, colors, runes, and grappling hook. You can now have a working spectator mode on a valve server including first person spectator mode. There are other features like broken objects regenerating, and an adjusting time and frag limit based on the number of players on the server, and server side bunny hop ability. Binding Keys in XDM

There are a few essential commands to know and bind in XDM and a few other useful commands. To bind a key make sure you have the console enabled in the game options. Then in game push the ~ key located above the Tab key. A green window will show and have the title, "Console". An example to bind grapple would be:
bind x +hook
then push enter. This would make your x key into the key that has the grappling hook command. You can use the same method to bind other commands to other keys.

The Runes of XDM
Pictures to come!	Shock Rune - This rune is usable, and will give off a shockwave pushing back players that are too close to you and damaging them as well.
	Regeneration Rune - Your health and armor will continually rise as time passes.
	Super Crowbar Rune - This will make your crowbar have infinite damage, plus you'll have an infinite supply of crowbars to throw at people.
	Haste Rune - This will make your weapons shoot twice as fast.
	Cloaking Rune - You can hide in the corner without being seen with this rune. But if you move, people will see a silhouette. Once you fire players will see you for a few seconds.
	Super Hook Rune - Your grapple hook will fly faster, pulls faster, and do greater damage!
	Protection Rune - You will receive half damage when you have this rune.
	Low Gravity Rune - You will be able to jump around like a man on the moon with this. Server admins can adjust the gravity multiplier as well.
	Vampire Rune - you gain 1 health and armor for every 2 damage you deal. Server admins can tweak this rune as well.
	Booby Trap Rune - You will explode if you are killed, taking others with you! You can also use this rune to take others with you if you feel lucky.
	Super Glock Rune - Unlimited glock ammo and a deadly sniper mode that will blow your enemy to bits.
	Super Speed Rune - Put on your running shoes, cause this rune will make you run faster than everyone else.
	Shield Rune - Bind a key to userune and have a shield for 3 seconds to protect you from all the horrors of XDM.
	Super Jump Rune - Use duck/jump to jump higher and farther!
	Teleport Rune - This usable rune will allow you to teleport every 10 seconds to a random spawn point on a map.
	Random Rune - Server admins can add this rune to randomly change from the runes allowed on the server.
